They still use hot (really hot) water to resurface the ice rinks. You are
correct, it is so that the ice will melt some and there will be a firm bond
with the new surface.
My son works at a sports complex and the work they do for that rink is

Yeah we ditched the water bed too. It was a zero wave but I noticed it was
sinking through the floor. Ut-oh! datza no good! It was a water bed that
sat on a reinforced standard bed frame. I've still got the frame but the
water bed got pitched at least 10 years ago.

there are ant poisons which contain boric acid I believe suspended in a liquid
sweet syrup. You put a few drops on something like a bit of wood or plastic lid
preferably protected a little from the weather but open so the ants can get to
it. They take it to their nest as a source of food
I don't know about the worm container inside, but, bought a small box of 200
night crawlers for my back then New yard and each time I build a new raised
bed, buy a box of night crawlers and my son Erik was totally surprised at
the number of worms I have almost anywhere in my raised beds and lawn!!
