The car has 30K miles and what appear to be the original tires in 205/50-17 size. It looks like the "+1" size for this fitment would be 225/45-17. I have an almost new set of Michelin Pilot XGT Z4 tires in 235/45-17 size. I realize the 235s have a slightly larger circumference (~1.5%) than the 225s. I am wondering whether anyone has used 235s on an xi, and whether there would be any significant downside in doing so. The 205/50 can go on a 7. 45 series tires are measured differently than 50 and higher. When a 225/45 and a 205/50 are mounted on the same rim, they are the same width. The 225/45 will have a flatter and slightly wider tread. Gary Derian > Just bought the wife a 2004 330xi. The car has 30K miles and what appear > to > be the original tires in 205/50-17 size. She said some dog hair makes very good yarn - the only down side is that you don't want to get caught in the rain wearing dog - you'll smell like a ... wet dog ... :-o karl -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Matt Murray Sent: Thursday, August 16, 2007 6:38 PM To: Bill Proud; Sixer Group; Uucdigest Subject: [UUC] Knitting with dog hair (absolutely no BMW content, but there is humor there), was: Wrenching decision http://www.kateconnick.com/library/croliushair.html I have known Kendall and her family for a long time. One more thing I was wondering is if you can put a 95 M3 rear diff on my car with out having to change the rear diff support rack or transmission?
