Your options are Stock, Urethane or Solid Steel. I have Urethane on my 330i and Ground Control Spherical on my M3. Bimmerworld carries all of the above, have great customer service. They also rent the tool which makes removal and replacement very easy. Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Click and Clack (Tom & Ray Magliozzi on the Car Talk radio show) have a great story about a customer's car that fell off a lift. Tom (or is it Ray? - the one with the deeper voice) said he called the customer to report that the work was completed successfully, but then the car car fell off the lift. Apparently the customer did not appreciate that Tom (Ray?) was laughing when he mentioned that part. I hate when people have no sense of humor. Point here is, just because the car is on a lift is no guarantee that it will not fall off. Be sure to place the lifting arms in the correct locations before raising it up. It's time for new tires, and with that probably a good time for a four-wheel alignment (somebody with better gear than I have in my garage). I'm wondering if while we're down there this might make for a good time to R&R the RTABs (car has 91K on the clock)? Anybody got an opinion as to whether it makes sense to just blindly do this? And does anybody have a recomendation for a good source/manufacturer (street use)? - Kevin Jay '96 328is ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 26 Jan 2005 15:08:20 -0800 From: "Marco Romani" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <bmwuucdigest@uucdigest.com> Subject: Re: Performance Rod bolts for BMW??? Not sure if the pauter bolts (I'm not even sure if they made the bolts) will fit a stock rod. I am looking for performance rod bolts for my race car M52 2.8l engine and for an E34 M5. I don't seem to find any companie making them. ARP has only the Euro rod bolts and they don't fit either application. Raceware Engineering in MI told me that they don't do any rod bolts for BMW, only main and head studs. Should I just get the OEM rod bolts and finish my engine??? Thanks. The increase on my car, on top of pre-existing mods, is 13 hp and 19 pounds of torque, at the rear wheels. If you have a 96 to 99 //M3, we offer to dyno test your car for free, including air/fuel ratios, at a well known dyno shop in the SF Bay Area. We prefer cars that are mostly stock, with stage 1 kind of mods or a CAI, remap, and exhaust at most. Besides free dyno testing, we'll offer a 2/3 discount (you pay 1/3) if you want to buy the finished kit. Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Well, today I bought a 1988 325IX cheaper than a new 4-wheeler and now I am sitting contemplating my navel relative to making it into my daily farm vehicle rather than the 84 Chebby 3/4 ton 'heavy' with the 454 and automatic . So...question for the day ...Has anyone ever put LONGER springs under this type of E30 ?? I'd plan to put DAGO tires on it (dago in mud , dago in snow and when dago flat dago wop-wop-wop )on steel wheels so that I can sell the 4 stock IX alloys it currently has -anyone got some IX winter-steelies for to sell-or know which other makes of 4-bolt 15" (or 16" )steelies will fit ?? .I'd need the longer springs to keep some clearance to tall skinny mudders .Wonder how much 'un-negative' caster and camber there'd be with say a 3"lift all round ?? Doubt the Bilstein sports will s t r e t c h that long tho ... Car currently has a fairly decent diamond-schwarz metallic paint-job with a teensy bit of rust-thru in a wheelwell front corner ..was thinking I could daub some white paint onto it to make it match a Holstein milking-cow, then my moo-ers might not be so reactive as I drive around (Wonder if my amorous young bull might get ideas tho' ).Could maybe have a rally-cross with the cows as moving pylons ?? Where's the best place to buy decals to spell out "Team Manure" for my race-team ?? I already have my eye out for a set of those plastic 'bovine male appendages' seen hanging under lifted pickup twux ..I think purple would be nice ?? Or maybe yellow? ..they can hang from the trunklid or its spoiler . Anyone got a set of unused Texas Longhorns for the hood ?? The neighbor who raises them sez his cows are all intending to keep theirs ..boo!!. Catalytic converter, restrictive rear muffler , lighted interior mirror , heated exterior mirrors will all need to go -maybe even the M-style steering wheel if the white vinyl MOMO I have stored in Seattle can be made to fit ....the ultimate pimp-mobile ?? Hmmnn..need a pair of hanging dice too I suppose eh or a garter?? ..but if the interior mirror gets sold-where to hang them ?? The possibilities are seemingly endless ..... Retirement is SUCH fun ..I get to do all the repressed-urge things now !! Yeeha !! Bill Proud , retiree, Tennessee . Maybe I'll just part it out and buy a 4-wheeler ??(trade anyone ??) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 26 Jan 2005 23:50:34 -0800 From: allister <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "BMWBits" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, "E9coupes BMW" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, "Senior Six Digest" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, "Uucdigest" <bmwuucdigest@uucdigest.com> Subject: Re: [BMWCSRegistry] BMW Farm Vehicle ....sacriledge??
