metal restore using the latest Knoppix CD which has grub 0.93. Last
thing before reboot, still in the Knoppix CD, I do grub, root() and

I want to set up my grub.conf to make a new option to boot from my CD-RW drive
(/dev/scd0 in GNU/Linux).
How to do it?
Thank you in advance.

I installed grub to the boot sector of my linux root partition, and then
I saved a copy of the boot sector to a file on my Windows boot

I then added this line to the boot.ini file in my windows boot partition:

If I renenter the install command manually,

Hi,
Just a small update:
I now tried the various versions on another machine, with an onboard
e100, and the results are:
* clean 0.94 works (obviously)
* 0.93 + the 3 patches in grub-diskless-patch-2.tar.gz gets to the 'grub'
prompt, doesn't load the configfile
* 0.94 +
