You don't need to paint things in black and white, because it's
possible to satisfy both approaches.  A much better answer would be:

- It is possible, but it is better if you use the tram instead....

Or even:

- That bus takes a long time to get to the terminal, so it is better
  if you use the tram instead....

What if the person who asked only has tickets for the bus, but not for
the tram?  If you ``lie'' by saying it is impossible, they will just
give up altogether.

Your answer was a reasonable attempt, but with some rephrasing could
have been no ``lie'' as well.  It's a rather gross oversimplification
to say that GRUB cannot do it *at all*, when it would be just as easy
to say ``GRUB can do it, but it is better if you ...''.

No worries.  Just keep in mind that it's better to offer alternatives
rather than to deliberately ignore one person's idea and say that your
own idea is the Only Way.
