Manually changing the header in snippets/ as well (and adding the
"%begin verbatim" gives the expected resul in NR-2.7.2.
You likely need to do what is described at the bottom of this page:

For example, I have this in my ~/.bash_aliases:
export PYTHONPATH=$PYTHONPATH:~/repos/lilypond/python
