Ok sorry, I misunderstood.

Not any better, however. I removed _all_ the partials that way but
trying to install plasma-desktop again continues to give an error
on papirus-icon-theme.

I'm not going to wear out the sun installing plasma ;) I'll try again
with the next release and go on with something else to play with.

Thanks.

No, run pkg_delete on the partial, i.e. pkg_delete partial-papirus-icon-theme

I'm not aware of an empiric way of comparing OpenBSD performance on
both. Under Linux there's the "bogomips" entry in the /proc/cpuinfo
file but I couldn't find something equivalent for OpenBSD.

> Hmm. Maybe pkg_delete the partials and re-add.

pkg_delete doesn't want to remove it because it's not fully installed:

root:~# pkg_delete papirus-icon-theme
Can't find papirus-icon-theme
Problem finding papirus-icon-theme

So trying to add plasma-desktop doesn't work better...

Then trying to only add papirus-icon-theme isn't any better:

ah yes, that's probably about the last Atom before they got 64-bit
support.

fwiw, for OpenBSD, raspi4 is likely to be a lot more usable than this eeepc.

Hmm. Maybe pkg_delete the partials and re-add.

Yes I did :)

I'm experimenting stuff. I'm playing with several OSes on an
eeePC B202 :

bios0: ASUSTeK Computer INC. B202
...
cpu0: Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU N270 @ 1.60GHz ("GenuineIntel" 686-class) 1.61
GHz, 06-1c-02, patch 0218

I don't have much hope performance-wise of course. I just want to see
how much I can do with that machine and compare its performcances with
others OSes (Linux of course, Plan9, Haiku...).

I previously used that eeePC as a wifi access point and that was nice.

I also tried OpenBSD on a raspi4.

Unrelated to this problem, but do you really need i386? It's not
recommended on machins which can run amd64 (and I guess if you're trying
to run Plasma you probably don't gave _that_ old a machine).

Hello !

I tried to install plasma-desktop on my system. However it stopped
after a lot of complaining that all the packages depending in
kcoreaddons could not be installed. Indeed that package depends on
an icon theme package that fails to install.

Here is an output of what's displayed :
[...]
/usr/local/share/icons/Papirus/32x32/apps/media-downloader.svg
from papirus-icon-theme-20231201 (same checksum)
/usr/local/share/icons/Papirus/32x32/apps/microsoft-365.svg from

/usr/local/share/icons/ePapirus/16x16/places/folder-nordic.svg
from papirus-icon-theme-20231201 (same checksum)
It seems to be a missing package registration
