Susan Danskin, Judy Thoroughman and I spent much of today birding around the
Town of Dryden. Highlights included:
Field pond southeast of NYS 38 George Road:
GREEN-WINGED TEAL several pairs
RING-NECKED DUCK
PIED-BILLED GREBE 1
ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK landed near barn to northeast
KILLDEER 1 seen,
Failed to post on Fri. 3/26/10 that many TREE SWALLOWS were swooping over the
pond probably were over the lake also but we didn't have time to go there.
Still saw 3 prs. of BUFFLES on the pond one lone(ly) Canada in the SE corner.
Watched a crow attacking a vulture over the field out back
