Among the snipe, pipits and many shorebirds at Montezuma yesterday was a godwit
in
adult winter plumage. We had excellent looks and took a raft of photos that we
can
share with anyone interested. We had an ID problem with this bird as the bill
appeared absolutely straight much as one would see
Seen with naked eye from e buffalo. Appeared smaller than great so possibly
snowy or cattle? Headed towards east shore of lake

Siskins at the feeders in Etna when I left the house this morning.

Indeed I was stunned to see 17 CATTLE EGRETS flying low over the inlet
directly towards me when all of a sudden they veered westward and circled up
high over the golf course. I ran back to my car and was able to take a few
photos before they disappeared out of view. I missed one bird in

Hi all,
After long time I took a walk around in Mundy wildflower Garden. As expected, I
did see a few Golden-crowned Kinglets with locals, but no Yellow-rumps. I was
glad to see some fall colors too, I thought I had missed it this year. A
monarch was heading southeast in this windy weather.
While at work early this morning in Caroline, I heard a plethora of E.
BLUEBIRD call notes. Looking up, I counted about 125 of them, heading
south. Largest flock of bluebirds I've ever seen.

While at Stewart Park, around 4:30, a Cattle Egret flew down the shore,
from the east, circled Treman Marina a few times before landing.
I drove over to the marina and found him perched on the docks just
north of the restroom building. Stuart Krasnoff joined me and took some
