At about 8:45 this morning in the tree opposite the boat house was a
single Peregrine Falcon, that I think is a juvenile male.

I had just started my morning walk, when I heard one of the local AMER. CROW
clans (Gang of 5) greatly excited about something. Assuming it was one of
the local red-tailed hawk pair, I was surprised to see an immature BALD
EAGLE lifting off from my neighbor's back yard. It followed Boiceville
There have been sporadic reports of Bald Eagles at Black Creek where it exits
the Montezuma Marshes west of Savannah, NY. Yesterday (Jan. 26) there were 2

I sure wouldn't normally forward Internet videos, but this seem pretty
unusual to me (and cute!) so I couldn't resist. Are their long treks to a

Until two days ago, we were having occasional, small flocks of redpolls
at our feeder, and I was jealous of others with consistent, nice-sized
flocks. Starting on Tuesday, we have had a flock of about 150 birds
that come in to feed (largely on sunflower seeds) about 3 times a day.
It is neat
I neglected to include a gathering of a dozen Great Black-backed Gulls, a
Junco, a Tufted Titmouse, a couple Black-capped Chickadees and numerous
unidentified gulls that I've since added to this report.
