I spent my week-end at various locations on my quest for odonates. Saturday in
Finger lakes national Forest and Sunday in McIlroy preserve and Summer Hill and
returned via Caswell Road.
Birds of note were as follows;
EASTERN MEADOWLARKS. In FLNF region at least 6 of them. On the way to Summer
Forwarding Golden-winged Ruff rare bird alerts w/photos map links. please
post if re-found.

David Wheeler reports that the RUFF reported yesterday from Montezuma NWR is
still present today around noon. It is a molting adult male and is being seen
at Puddler's Marsh from Towpath Rd.
If I am correct, Puddler's Marsh is the name for the impoundment beyond the
dike which is located
Any more reports of the RUFF this evening would be appreciated. Thinking of
making
the 2 hour drive up to find it tomorrow morning.
