Wednesday a pair of pileated woodpeckers came for suet. The suet baskets are located on opposite sides of a beech tree a few feet from the study window. They flew off before I could take a photo. It is common to see either one of the pair, but very seldom are both seen. David Smith Bridle

According to the Average Spring Arrival Dates for Cay. L. Basin 2000-2009, that they gave us in the Spring ornithology course, Black Billed Cuckoos' date of arrival should be more around May 9 ! their data is from this list and in later years from eBird. Donna Scott - Original Message
