Sunday afternoon I sat at Stewart Park looking out at the relative low bird
count. Of interest were two American Wigeons foraging "somewhat" close (I
was hoping they'd get closer for better photos, though they never did), and

This morning 3/26, I went out to the garage and realized the chorus I
was hearing were Common Redpolls. They were really singing away. Went
in to grab my binocs. Note-it is hard to find tiny grey birds in
treetops of grey leafless trees. Not till they flew did I finally see
where they were.

At dusk 11 winter plumage Horned Grebes were together north of the red
lighthouse, plus one probable transition plumage Horned Grebe with them. Also 1
winter plumage Horned Grebe was in Cayuga Inlet with some Mallards between Cass
