This afternoon about 5:30 p.m., I walked the Yorkies, and we went down
to the pond. As we got there I saw a small bird on the water on the
other side. We all stopped to look and what jumped out at me was the
yellowish ( in fan shape) feathers on the side of the head, and my first
thought was
Sorry for the late posting, but we were doing a day-long refresher training at
the Ornithology Lab today and most of these are from our morning walk. Walking
the Wilson trail loop around 10:30 we saw Pileated woodpecker, yellow-bellied
sapsucker, and downy in a two minute span. Later we added

At 2:25 PM Monday, there are at least 26 Chipping Sparrows on the ground under
my feeders! Plus that male Pine Warbler is still here and a couple of Towhees.
However I did not see the Fox Sparrow today so far.
