The South end of the park,where Lower Lake Rd meets Rt89, has good views of open water but the ice edge is still a bit far to the East. Good scope views of large numbers of ducks, geese, swans, gulls, eagles.. The water should get much closer the next couple of days. Sunny morning viewing

Just got a brief look at a striking male yellow-headed blackbird just west of the Durling road and Gravel road intersection.Seneca Falls. The mixed flock of about 2000 blackbirds is very active but as of 8:45 is in the corn field to the SW edging back to the yard just West of the intersection
