A few snow geese flew over us in Enfield (Halseyville and Aiken) this afternoon, flying fairly low. I didn't get a good look, because it was snowing! They were turning, and I think ended up headed northeast of us. And this morning, we also had a flock of about 80 mixed blackbirds, mostly

For all concerned, I did vet this observation as best I could before posting it to the list. Janice said she was 100% sure of what she saw, and noted areas of white that were distinct from Bald Eagle. Ospreys are a fixture of life for those of us who live near Myers/Salt Point where they are

I have a huge flock of red wing blackbirds with several grackles mixed in eating under and on all my feeders! I estimate about 250 Red Wings & at least 10 grackles. They keep spooking and flying up to the trees and then back down, so hard to count. I have thrown out quarts of cracked corn and
