Beautiful and very sweet views of two Cape May Warblers today on the trail
just north of Coot Pond on Howland Island, seen by Joe Wetmore and me.

Happy to see a Cape May Warbler in my yard this morning, this one offering
extended looks as it foraged quietly in a still leafless ash tree, rather than
the typical business of disappearing and reappearing constantly as they work
around the upper parts of tall spruces.

New yard birds this morning, May 5 , are CAPE MAY WARBLER, YELLOW THROATED
VIREO, HOUSE WREN, WOOD THRUSH and CATBIRD. Plus a Winter Wren. Hunt Hill Rd,
Dryden.

Just west of the aforementioned town line, as the sun lit the tops of a spruce
thicket, I got a handful of songs from an unseen Cape May Warbler.

Not in the same league as yesterday's warbler of the day*, but this
morning I had 2 Cape May Warblers at the Frog Barn (91 Sapsucker Woods
Road) - foraging at mid heights in the open bit of woods between the barn
and Sapsucker Woods Road.
Farther south, on lower Sapsucker Woods Road, was a
