Shorebird activity picking up as Ann and Dave Nutter described at K M
marsh. I went on towpath rd this morning. Really bad lots of deep flooded
holes in road but worth it! Got great views of 2 Stilt Sandpipers in worn
breeding plumage first mudflat from road that juts out. Also several SB
dowitchers, least and semipalmated sandpipers, pectoral sandpipers, both
species of yellowlegs, solitary and spotted Sandpipers. Viewing early from
towpath good.
Could not see well toward east rd more shorebirds there. Worth a check for
someone this evening. Otherwise same as Dave Nutter and Ann. Fall migration
has begun!!
