I counted over 1000 loons in southbound flight from near Agway in downtown Ithaca this morning. The flight was en masse (1000+ feet above ground level) when I arrived at ~8AM and it appeared most had passed when I stopped counting at 8:20AM. The groups were large, some formations stretching 100
