Southwest of Basin, west of Bath, kestrels seemed to be everywhere for
miles! I watched a male mate with two females on a telephone pole crossing
a field. Each female waited her turn. Interesting deviance from pair
bonding. Could a male support two nests? Jeepers, I hope so!

HI, I am not sure how to report but there is a probable injured snow goose
on Honey Pot Rd in Candor. He was sitting on the edge of a farm pond this
morning when I drove by and was still there when I came home. He is all
alone and hadn't moved.

Good points, Dave. I too saw that Bald Eagle yesterday at Stewart Park and was
surprised at how Osprey-like it looked. I also took crappy photos of it, and
will try to get them in my eBird checklist soon.

I was at Meyers Point this morning where I saw, and photographed, an Osprey
carrying nesting material to a platform and later got a photo of an Osprey on
the platform. I included the photos in my eBird checklist. To me, it seemed a
bit “skitty”, not of me or the other people there, but perhaps
Speaking of Crows, I was out in my driveway at 10:30 last night, when a distant
bunch of Crows began doing something that sounded like mobbing. I couldn’t
remember ever hearing them make such a ruckus at night. I thought of Great
Horned Owls, and tree climbers like raccoons or fishers. The
