Yesterday morning I biked to through the mist to Stewart Park on the Cayuga
Waterfront Trail, assiduously inputting every ID into eBird as I went. Passing
between the TCAT bus garage and Newman Golf Course on Pier Rd, I heard
something odd, a bit of jumbled rattle, perhaps a distant Gray
Early this morning a male RB Grosbeak showed up. Right now I had a beautiful
White Crown Sparrow show up. The Oriole has been quietly hanging out in the
serviceberry . He went to the nearby seed feeder. I couldn’t tell if he tried
to eat anything. There is grape jelly, suet, and oranges
FOY prothonotary warbler at Howland island by kayak. Water level is high,
Carncross Road is flooded past the bridge towards the high parking lot.
Also in the flooded woods are at least two northern waterthrushes.
