I felt very lucky today to have the company of my son Tilden and my mother-in-law Berbie Chu on a trip to Montezuma NWR. We stopped first at Lake Road in Ledyard at about 10:30 AM. I think we saw a VESPER SPARROW flying across the road near the winery, and then alighting on a roll of hay.
