Friday afternoon I spent time in the Interlaken area looking for Short-eared Owls. While I wasn't successful finding them there was a spectacular late afternoon Snow Goose flight. Canadas and Snows had been moving all afternoon in small groups, but by dusk the numbers really picked up.

Along Cayuga View Rd between the cornfields this afternoon, three Snow Buntings in a small flock of ten birds. I believe the others were Am. Pipets. Sort of lost the flock when a N. Harrier cruised in. It hunted a while without any success, then sailed off in the direction of the lake. At home,
