Dave Tetlow called this morning to report an immature (brown) GYRFALCON at Sodus Bay. The falcon was originally perched in a tree near the outlet, but then flew south to the peninsula in the middle of the bay. He is attempting to relocate it now. Regards, Brad Carlson Honeoye Falls, NY

Dave Tetlow just called to tell me that at around 10 had an immature Dark Gyrfalcon take off from the trees on the point, fly south over Grieg Street and disappear to the back of the bay. It is a very uniform brown/tawny plumaged bird. Also note that there is an immature Anatum Peregrine
