Just had a fly over from a male Northern Harrier! I haven't seen one in my
neighborhood since a house was built on the lot next door, so maybe in 13
years. Last time I saw one locally it was on the polo field in Skaneateles in
winter several years ago. It flew back across Rt. 20 to the farm
More flocks of Snow Geese are moving over West Danby this morning.

Ten to 15 mins ago, about 2000-3000 snow geese flew over our barns going
from SE to NW, so may have been seen in Ithaca and vicin.
Only saw one blue but may well have been others. Nothing like Ross's
seen.

Despite less than favorable strong west winds, many SNOW GEESE
are migrating today. Renee and I saw at least 6 different flocks
from various locations around Broome County. From my
deck, in just 10 minutes time, had 2 large flocks of snows
moving to the northwest slightly into the wind.

Don't know where you are, but there's at least one male Northern Harrier
in Trumansburg. Saw it sitting on a limb over Trumansburg Creek one
afternoon in February, right across from Gimme Coffee (where it drew a
small crowd), then spotted it again two days ago cruising low over a
field along
To clarify my last message with a subjectless sentence, *I* am at
Taughannock, but no sign of an eider so far. Needless to say King would be
much more likely than Common here, so it will be interesting to see if Jeff
can rule out King.

Hi all, Tim and I last spotted the bird flying down Stahl Road, north of
the field with the geese and ducks. There are still waterfowl in the area,
but a good number dispersed. If we find the bird again, we'll post.
