[cayugabirds-l] NE Ithaca screech-owl, Sun 10/23

On Sunday evening, I saw a gray-morph EASTERN SCREECH-OWL roosting at the hole of our nest box, intensely scanning the darkening landscape, then flying out at 6:35 PM. This was my first screech-owl sighting in the yard since a three-day run in early December 2015. Mark Chao -- Cayugabirds-L

[cayugabirds-l] White Winged Scoter

Seen half hour ago off shore here at Lansing Station Rd. Lone male, but hung out with a Black Duck for a little while. It was swimming for several minutes, then took off flying north. Not able to re-find it, so it probably kept flying north. Nice yard bird! Donna Donna L. Scott 535 Lansing
