I saw my first ever fish crow today and correctly ID it by its call. It was in
DeWitt at Wendy’s at the corner of Erie Bvld and Bridge st. Isn’t that an
unusual place to find one?

Mary Jean and I checked out the Osprey nests on Foots Corners Rd (#58) and
Morgan Rd (#57) near Interlaken, in the town of Ovid about mid-day today.
The Foots Corners Rd nest had one osprey perched on the nest. We chatted

If you see female Ospreys sitting low on their nests now, they have started
incubating. Ophelia, the Salt Point Natural Area's female in Lansing, laid

Below is what I’ve gleaned online, Marie. Also, John and Sue, I hadn’t
considered that many Federal and State roads are now closed to access, thereby
preventing ability to conduct many BBS routes.

Makes sense to me Chris. Although BBS routes are most often solitary,
many involve leaving your home and driving a route. With many areas
under stay at home orders, pausing ( I dislike that nebulous term) the
BBS is the only outcome that makes sense.
