I also saw my first Ithaca House Wren in the yard this afternoon, and soon
afterward it obligingly sang several times.

Or does that go without saying. Appears to be one female looking at a
traditional nest site in an overhead yard light. And 2 males singing at and
displacing each other.
Also singing grey tree frogs.
Both species= my first certain sightings or hearings this spring.

A single white-crowned sparrow appeared at our feeder station today, amongst a
plethora of white-throated sparrows, song sparrows, and several chipping
sparrows. A single redpoll appeared today as well after about a week without
one.

This morning we had a single male ovenbird singing in our hilltop forest
~7.5 miles NW of Hammondsport NY. First warbler of the year for us up here.
