A male Snowy Owl, nearly all white, was visible from the Peterman Road curve
looking toward the airport at around 3 PM on Sunday. It was sitting on the
field about 100’ from the road. As we watched, a pair of ravens stopped by to
harass the owl. One became very confrontational, drawing a line in the snow,
hopping in place and repeatedly asking whether the owl wanted a piece of it,
whilst the other called encouragement from a safe distance. After about ten
minutes of this the owl flew east, accompanied by both ravens shouting abuse.

A goshawk was perched on 414 just south of the village and another (or
conceivably the same one) on Hoster Rd at the quarry. The gyrfalcon was perched
on a tall tree toward the middle of the quarry near the intersection of Hoster
and Canoga.

Both eagles were perched near their nest in Aurora.
