At 7:10AM this morning, Chris Wood reported a flyover CATTE EGRET on Warren
Road south of Rt. 13, heading SE. Livia and I drove around Bluegrass Lane
and the Game Farm/Compost area in hopes of relocating it a little later in
the morning, but we were unsuccessful. Keep an eye out, though, and let
everyone know if you happen upon this bird!

Lots of gulls at the compost, but nothing out of the ordinary. We walked
around the Freese Road gardens afterwards. The cold front has increased
sparrow diversity slightly there, with 2 LINCOLN'S SPARROWS and 2 SWAMP
SPARROWS joining the throng of SONG SPARROWS, as well as a continuing
handful of SAVANNAH SPARROWS and FIELD SPARROWS. We had 2 WILSON'S WARBLERS,
1 YELLOW WARBLER, and a NASHVILLE WARBLER in the hedgerow on the east side,
and INDIGO BUNTINGS are still present in the fields as well.

Good birding.
