In Freeville the clouds didn't cover the moon until it was coming out of the eclipse. I did happen to see to meteor whilst admiring the "Super Blood Moon." The only soundtrack accompanying my moon-gazing was a very loud cricket chorus and what seemed to be all of two Katydids. I used to hear

Here in West Danby it was Barred Owl and eclipse. No vocal Great Blue Herons, but apropos of that, Pat and I were paddling at Jennings Pond a couple of days ago, and we flushed a group of Mallards, who circled the pond quacking. In a sort of domino effect, this prompted a Great Blue Heron to
