I saw an Indigo Bunting at the feeder a few minutes ago. It flew off and
hasn't returned.

My neighbor just to south reported a male Indigo Bunting was eating seed at her
deck rail 8 AM this morning.
My other neighbor just to the north went out in her driveway this morning and
saw a Scarlet Tanager in her lilac bush!
Unfortunately, I saw neither of these birds, but on my walk around

We’ve been fortunate, too! Here on Stonehaven Circle in Newfield, we have two
male Indigo Buntings coming regularly to our thistle feeder. They feed quite
amicably with the Goldfinches. Question: Is it common for two male Indigo
Buntings to occupy the same territory? We haven’t been watching
I have resisted “me too” messages for all my spring arrivals but just now, for
the first time ever, an Indigo Bunting showed up at the feeder in front of my
house. It was promptly chased away by the many goldfinches but it remained in
our bushes waiting its turn. I should add that I live in the
When I looked out our kitchen windows, I noticed a good-sized flock of
sparrows. As I proceeded to count their numbers, my eye picked up on a
"blue patch" in the grass. Turned out to be our foy INDIGO BUNTING.
Hope it sticks around for a little while. They typically pop in and

There was a strikingly bright blue male Indigo Bunting today at Salt Point
(3 pm) near the Salmon Creek osprey platform—the first I've ever seen at
the point. It was perched near Salmon Creek in a cottonwood before it flew
upstream past Myers Road.
What a thrill to see it!

At 7:30 a.m. this morning I watched a male Indigo Bunting at a sunflower
seed feeder near my house. He made several trips from nearby bushes.
On the other side of house, I soon after saw a male Rose-breasted Grosbeak
at the suet cake and then on a sunflower feeder there.

Just as the clock struck three, a male INDIGO BUNTING landed on our rear
patio next to the feeder. It spent a few minutes sharing the feeder with a
female Baltimore Oriole, then flew away. A terrific bird, one that we have
not seen before in the yard.

An Indigo Bunting finally showed up in my yard yesterday. Was wondering if I'd
been abandoned this year. Heard in the morning and mid-day, but later went out
to listen with a couple piano students and it placed itself in great view so
both the kids and their parents got good looks. Don't know
