Many migrant songbirds were active and conspicuous on the Wilson Trail North in Sapsucker Woods on Saturday morning, mostly along the west edge of the pond. Partly in the company of Paul Anderson and a group led by Suan Yong, I found 13 warbler species, including very many first-winter MAGNOLIA WARBLERS, 3+ subtly dazzling first-winter BAY-BREASTED WARBLERS, one male and one female WILSON'S WARBLER, and a TENNESSEE WARBLER, plus one or two PHILADELPHIA VIREOS. See below for the full list from eBird.
