There's more activity this morning than in recent days. Most noticeable are lots of White-throated Sparrows. Wes Hochachka alerted me to a Black-and-White Warbler and pointed out a Ruby-crowned Kinglet near the small bridge on the Wilson Trail and told me others had heard a Warbling Vireo

Two of us on Salt Point Steering Comm. put up duck nest boxes in spots near lake. Both boxes now have Starlings in them, even though - here - both Common and Red Breasted Mergansers have been in lake near my nest box for weeks! And at the other house in Ladoga, they originally had a Screech Owl
