Here on upper Bruce Hill Road in Danby we have three males and at least one
female Rose-Breasted Grosbeak. We usually have them in the summer. We had a
male Indigo Bunting stop at the feeders once this year, and that seems to be an
annual occurrence. We see it just the once. We have two or

Are male Rose-breasted Grosbeaks not territorial? We have three of them hanging
around our sunflower feeders and suet feeders and they seem to be okay with
each other. We put up two extra suet feeders this morning because they seem to
like the suet and our regular suet feeders are bottom-feed
A Rose Breasted Grosbeak male arrived four days ago and has been eating
sunflower seed (no suet) since. Three days ago we had a female Rose Breasted
Grosbeak which ate suet (and only suet) on and off for two days. We haven't
seen her today.
Also eating suet- a crow! huge! when it's so close.
Happy May Day!
This morning we had two dandy Rose Breasted Grosbeak males at
our tray feeder.

Happy
I arrived home from town this evening close to 7PM to a rather nice
surprise - 4 male and 1 female Rose-breasted Grosbeaks on my porch feeders
all at once. The feeders are about 2 ft apart, so I was able to see them
all through a single window. I have never seen so many of this species in
