Dear Florian,
Sorry to hear that Ample isn't working for you.
I haven't seen this error before, but my initial guess would be that you're
trying to run Ample on Windows? If so then unfortunately the current release of
Ample isn't supported on Windows. Most of the work to port Ample to Windows
Dear Rob,
Sorry to hear that this issue has affected you - it's a known bug which will be
fixed in the next ccp4 update.
AMPLE has run to completion but crashed printing out the results.
To see the results, you can run the following command at the terminal
(command-line):

Dear Yogesh,
It looks like you're trying to run AMPLE on Windows. Unfortunately, it isn't
currently supported on Windows.(although it will be in a forthcoming CCP4
release).
Do you have access to a Linux or Mac OSX machine that you could install CCP4 on?
Best wishes,

Hi Ursula.
I don't have any experience of sbgrid, but the executable that AMPLE needs will

was compiled).
If you can find that (try using
Dear Dale,
This is a known issue with AMPLE and will be fixed with the next release.
In the meantime you can tell AMPLE to pass the KILL option that Randy mentions

-mr_keys PKEY KILL TIME 360
this will kill PHASER after 360 minutes
Hi Randy,
It's not ideal, but until the bug gets fixed or there's a more elegant
solution, could you just set up your own autosave?
It'd mean opening a terminal and running a command before starting, but if you
had a little script like the below running while you were working you'd at
least
Dear Kaushik,
This is a known bug that shouldn't have made it out into in any CCP4 releases
and has been fixed.
With any luck, updating CCP4 should fix it. If you're on a headless machine
(one with no monitor), you can update CCP4 with the command:
/home1/nkumar/software/ccp4-7.0/bin/ccp4um
Dear Derek,
Sorry to hear that you've had problems running AMPLE. We've made a number of
updates recently and it looks like you've encountered a problem with the gui
and the code becoming out of sync. Are you running AMPLE from ccp4i?
A new ccp4 update will be released in the next few days
