Logre instalar el pidgin con el comando yum install pidgin
El amsn y los otros paquetes q' mencionaron no se con q' comando
instalarlos.. Una consulta para instalar dichos paquetes debo tener
conexion de internet o con el instalador de CentOS nomas lo puedo
hacer?? Gracias por

Se instala com yum install [nombre del programa a instalar, de pronto
puede verificar si existe es o esos programas en los repos de la siguiente
forma yum search [nombre del programa].

have a 3.x kicking about, but it's not on cko - any idea how much work
it would be to adapt your spec to version 4 or 5?
