the updated Amazon Web Service AMI (ami-4ac6653d) has a serious bug.
It is not possible to resize a disk after creating a new volume with a size
greater than 8GB.
resize2fs does nothing.
The previous AMI worked perfectly but is no longer available. This bug is a
show stopper

After updating openssl on most of my C6.5-servers needs-restarting reports at
least sshd, ntpd and sendmail.
But on 1 server needs-restarting reports nothing. And yes, sshd, ntpd and

We had Amazon investigate further and support tells us that the problem is that

AMI put the filesystem on the raw disk but the new one is using a partition

Attaching the volume to another instance to change the partition table is not

Bueno, después de tratar un rato, pude entrar la parte user manager (como les
conté, me aceptaba la clave de root en el query gráfico), entonces hice lo
siguiente:
1. clic en Edit.
2. Clic en preferencias3. Quite el cotejo a Hide System users and groups y
luego clic en close.4. En los usuarios
Si tenes acceso directo o KVM, podrias iniciar la maquina y entrar en
el modo de emergencia de CentOS, montar las particiones en /mnt, hacer
un chroot, y modificar el passwd.
Seguramente encuentres en google como hacer todo eso en un tutorial solo.
