If it is a permanent position, I would usually put either a figure I am
looking for or negotiable.
If it is a temp / project based tasking, I put an hourly rate.

and you should definitely ask for more info. The last thing you want to
do is give a salary range that is well below the demands of the
position. Most recruiters or companies will understand that request and
will work
