I have a verity collection which I have deleted via cfAdministrator, the
collection appears to be removed but when I check the file structure the
folders still remain, I have tried to manually remove the folder which has
worked in the past.
However I keep getting a 'cannot delete file

Ahh yes, I assumed list() created a list type. I also didnt realize this
was all in one page so yes, a and A are going to be the same thing and the
last one set will override the first. Just a note but it's not just cfscript
that is case insensitive, its all of CF.
Your pad function only pads
The first thing to try is [password] rather than password. It's a reserved
word and needs to be escaped if you must use it. I'd personally rename it to
something else instead of trying to remember to escape it everytime.

the methods. If you need need to nornal java source
use a Java Web Service and pass objects to it with WDDX if necessary.
I don't know of advantage of using CFX over createObject(). If you know of

I'm pretty sure you must have Acrobat Reader to view a PDF document. They
could post the MS Office documents to to their site. MS has readers for Excel,
Word and Powerpoint available on their site. You could also suggest
FlashPaper since just about everyone has flash installed

was the culprit: some cfoutput tags missing. Learn quite a bit from your
intervention though!.

Use Unicode wherever you can use. If your platform/program/solution do
