This is really a networking problem in my opinion, but our techs are
trying to blame it on the CF servers, so I'll give you guys a try.
After moving all our web servers over to the same firewall, we noticed
an awful lot of TCP sessions all between the load balancer (hardware)
and our users going
I'd suggest putting a cfmail containing a cfdump of every variable scope
where ever the error message is coming from (cfcatch, onerror, cferror,
global error handler). This gives a TON of information and tends to make
error tracing much easier.

prove) is there.
In the following code, the SELECT apparently works as the cfdump displays
the column names (the table is empty) and doesn't throw an error, but the

What this service does is to run a query and to return

There is no back to MXML - that gets converted to Actionscript, which is
then compiled to SWF bytecode.
