long as I have not installed the MX updater. Have you installed the MX
Updater? If so you might want to uninstall it (per MM grueling
instructions) or reinstall CFMX. The updater is supposed to have fixed a
bunch of COM issues

Ok. COM and DCOM are not the same thing. This article is pretty
interesting, although it was written over two years ago; way before .NET
was released. .NET still utilizes COM, and in fact MS recommends using
COM is NOT being abandoned by MS. Dave and Steve failed to back that
statement up in the last thread.
