I think I REALLY need to figure out how to uninstall this so it
doesn't appear in the programs list anymore.. because the first time I
installed CF8 I didn't do it as administrator and maybe that's got
things all messed
deleted a bunch of stuff from the registry after uninstalling cf and
rebooted.. then rebooted again, deleted a bit more stuff and rebooted
again.
So the .net stuff now no longer appears in the Uninstall programs
dialog - good.

I uninstalled coldfusion 8 completely then installed CF Enterprise.
Unless the .NET integration service didn't get uninstalled and then

See if the service is running... In the control panel Administrative Tools
Services.. you should see ColdFusion 8 .NET Service
