A partnership between the Information School<https://ischool.uw.edu/> and the Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity<https://www.washington.edu/omad/>, the program will expose students to different ways of knowing and take them through a hands-on journey from oceanic navigation to taro cultivation and fishing. The focus will be on Hawaii and Oceania and will help students understand the value of indigenous knowledge systems as valid, critical, and credible sources of scientific information. Please share this unique opportunity with the students in your program.
