Mobilizing Health is looking to recruit one programmer to do something
different. We want you to spend the Spring and Summer to work full
time with us to take our web app to the next level.

Mobilizing Health is a global health and technology non-profit that
uses our web application to connect under-served communities in India
with licensed practitioners via SMS. Our team is a hybrid of Stanford
and Cal students and our beta pilot, with the first version of our
application, is running live in Udaipur, Rajasthan (India) and has
just helped its 1000th patient.

Our board includes Silicon Valley and New York executives and
entrepreneurs, and we have raised over $100k to develop our prototype,
launch alpha and beta pilots, and expand our program.

We are looking for a new Technology Director interested in bringing
their CS skills to the public service sector. Our Tech Director needs
to start in April and commit to working over the Summer in India.
During the Spring, we will be working here in the US (Bay Area), and
in the Summer, we will travel ?to India to implement our technology
with partner organizations.

Mobilizing Health is offering a $10,000 stipend to cover living costs
and will finance all India expenses, including airfare.

General Requirements:
- Outstanding communication skills. You?ll be working closely with our
members and partners in India.
- Culturally sensitive and strong in new environments (for India)
- Ability/desire to work full-time in a start-up setting
- Comfort in working with partners to translate project requirements into code
- A background in Computer Science, Symbolic Systems, or equivalent.

Technology Specific Requirements:
- A strong command of Ruby (or willingness to get up to speed quickly)
- Unix chops
- Experience with jquery required
- Prior experience working on a production level web application

For bonus points, show us your experience with: Sinatra, Rails, Git
