There is an injured cat in the Abell neighborhood that is sporting a very large
and serious wound to the neck.
At this point it is necrotic, and probably seriously infected. It is an
obviously very painful injury.

There are several people who have had contact with this cat, and are feeding
him, and are willing to contribute
to the costs involved in trapping him, and getting him to a vet, as well as
shelter for aftercare.
It is a daunting proposition if undertaken alone, but with the commitment of
several of us,
it is not only manageable, but the right thing to do.
If all goes well, he will be treated, and neutered and given basic shots.
However, it is possible that his condition
is not a survivable one, in which case, he would be humanely euthanized.

I will be looking to Vonnie Gowe, Abells own animal rescue expert, and
Aardmore Animal Hospital for guidance
in the management of this undertaking, but unfortunately ANY scenario requires
funds.
If you feel that this is a worthy cause please contact me. I will be happy to
give you a receipt, and if you like,
keep you up to date on the progress.

Over the years I have managed to say a silent prayer for most stray cats, and
then look away.
This cats plight is so shocking, I was unable to do that this time.
Please help in any way you can.
Thank you.
