[Chat] trees
I have not seen this but was told that the trees in the 2900 Charles have been cut down. Does anyone have any info on this? Re: [Chat] trees
Judy, this is part of the rebuilding of Charles Street that will be happening over the next two years. There was quite a bit of controversy over this aspect of the plan when it was rolled out. New (though obviously not mature) trees are being planted in the redesign. jf On Sep 27, 2012, at 12:58 PM, judy jdy...@verizon.net wrote: I have not seen this but was told that the trees in the 2900 Charles have been cut down. Why am I not surprised. How old are these trees? Makes no sense to me. Thanks for responding. [Chat] health care
Does anyone know what health care is available to people on social Security and not eligible yet for Medicare? I am going to a clinic that has sliding scale but does not have specialists. Thanks Judy ___ Chat mailing list Chat@charlesvillage.info http://charlesvillage.info/mailman/listinfo/chat_charlesvillage.info archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/chat@charlesvillage.info/
Re: [Chat] health care
Hi Judy- I'm not sure about the options right now. But once the health care reforms (aka Obamacare) kicks in in January 2014 (assuming he wisn re-election) there will be different options based on your income level. Anyone making up to 133% of the poverty level will qualify for Medicaid, and people making up to 400% of the poverty level will be eligible to buy health insurance via exchanges at subsidized rates. Most people will also be required to have health insurance of some kind (and Medicaid would count as health insurance). There is a longer explanation here: http://thebillfold.com/2012/09/the-affordable-care-act-what-it-is-and-what-it-isnt jf On Sep 27, 2012, at 2:47 PM, judy jdy...@verizon.net wrote: Does anyone know what health care is available to people on social Security and not eligible yet for Medicare? Re: [Chat] trees
Also the complete Charles Reconstruction plan is online at www.charlesvillage.net , was vetted at several CVCA membership meetings in the years leading up to its approval by the Dept of Transportation, and was the subject of many articles in the Charles Villager over those same years. Charles Village was fully represented by volunteers who attended many meetings during the process which took several years. There was no other way to complete the planned improvements without removing some trees. Hopefully, when the reconstruction plan is completed, we will see that the removal of trees was a small price to pay for the improvements realized. One way to keep abreast of what is happening in Charles Village is to read the Charles Villager, visit the CVCA website, join CVCA and attend CVCA General Membership meetings, and volunteer to participate in CVCA committees where issues are identified and resolved. Re: [Chat] health care
thnx. by 2014 i'll be eligible for medicare. it's now that there is a problem. He'll be re elected if i have to drive people around. Will not drive republicans. What happens to healthcare reform. if he wins re-election, can't run for a 3rd term, and a republican then gets in?
