HP's closed its winter emergency shelter program for good April 18, 
2012, after a 25 season run. Funds from governmental and private/public 
foundations have dried up for emergency shelters. We are raising funds 
to repay a $10,000 loan we received ( from a church scholarship fund for 
poor kids) to stay open the entire season. First thing is to repay that 
loan. Then looking into what the program can morph into...definitely not 
another emergency winter shelterthat's in the past :-(  See my 
letter/comment on the shelter's Face Book page ( Heart's Place Shelter).
