When the city began its recycling program, I got serious and bought trashcans with lids for garbage and recycling containers. That cut way back. I'm sure you already cover trash, but those who don't should seriously consider putting lids on trashcans. Mice? I'd like some ideas too. We don't have these problems in the rest of the house, yet. An occasional mouse but not a huge deal. I was wondering what people are doing around the area for mice and rats. Our back yard definitely has a rat problem but last year I cleaned and cleaned and cleaned more, all summer and spent a lot of time out side with my dog and that seemed to help. However they were still there just not as bad. ANY IDEAS!!?? Re: [Chat] Mice
I second the suggestion about pet food. I used to keep cat food just in bags on the back porch -- they didn't seem to eat through the bags much but we always had a few mice. I bought a big plastic bin for the bags at Target and haven't seen any mice since. (You'd think that just having a cat would have kept them away, but apparently not.) jf ___ Chat mailing list Chat@charlesvillage.info http://charlesvillage.info/mailman/listinfo/chat_charlesvillage.info archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/chat@charlesvillage.info/
Re: [Chat] Mice
I bought a little thing that is plugged into an outlet in our kitchen which emits a sound that we can't hear but supposedly repels mice. I haven't seen a mouse since we started using it. You can get this gadget at hardware stores. Ours is made by Sunbeam. Good luck!
