that a perfect gear ratio for the hiway and a lot cheaper to make it a posi, , ive had two of them and i got 17 mpg on the hiway with a big block running at nite with a a/c on and i was burning 92 gas, my rpm was just over 2100 at 75 mile per hour, i think i can squeeze 20 mpg if i ran a fuel

Sound like you headlight switch is acting up but a hard impact may have busted your dash bulbs, thirty year bulb you never know, make sure your grounding straps are still there, hope this helps. James

no Clint i don't use them i reuse your old one, i just replace the broken or chop up wires and just go though them one at a time, i have rebuilt 3 69 chevelle wire harness from front to rear, it a lot easier and a lot cheaper then buying a whole new harness, james

hey john disconnect the positive lead from the battery and put a test light between the positive post and the positive cable if it light up then you have a draw, which over night will run down your battery, James

bead blasting is better then chemical strip, but cost more, next car i do IM going to get my own bead plaster, IM tired of sanding and cleaning, like tom i used 80 grit and an orbit sander which work,s good on 69 chevelle body panel, but my 60 elky is going to need a bead blasted two many curves
